What is an infrared sauna? 

Infrared saunas use far infrared lighting to penetrate deep within the tissue, muscle and bones. 

Unlike a traditional sauna where rocks are heated and the temperature is much higher making it difficult to breath - infrared sauna is a much more pleasurable experience. By penetrating deep into our bodies it allows our core temperature to rise allowing our body to gently detoxify and remove the build up of unwanted toxins in the body. 


Why should you use an infrared sauna? 

Infrared saunas may be beneficial for a range of health conditions including:

  • Improve skin tone
  • Help with acne, eczema and dermatitis 
  • Bacterial infections 
  • Muscle fatigue and recovery 
  • Water retention
  • Energy production 
  • Immune boosting 
  • Stress relief 


Can I bring a friend?

You can definitely bring a friend it’s a great way to catch up! The saunas are built to fit 3 people however it is most comfortable with 2. We charge an extra $10 if you bring a friend. A maximum of 2 people is recommended. 

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes. We have a strict 12 hour cancelation policy. If you do miss an appointment, cancel or reschedule an appointment within 12 hours you will be charge a 50% of the appointment fee.

Are the sauna rooms private? 

Yes, the sauna rooms are private. The room will be allocated to you for the entire of your sauna session. 


What should you wear during your session? 

As the rooms are private we recommend you go nude. Please remember to sit on a towel during your session. If you are sharing the sauna with a friend wear swimmers or whatever you feel most comfortable in. 


Should I shower during the session if I get hot?

No we do not recommend showering mid way through an infrared sauna session. You can shower after your session however your body may continue to sweat at least 30 minutes after a sauna session.  If you don't mind being a little sweaty we recommend waiting 30 minutes after a session to shower. 


What you should bring to your session?

Bring a towel, change of clothing and water bottle. We have towel for hire so if you forget no stress! We supply body wash, shampoo and conditioner. We also have plenty of magazines and book to borrow. 


Who should be careful when using an infrared sauna? 

If you are unsure you should always consult with your physician before using the infrared sauna. 

Do not use if:

  • Pregnant 
  • Have chronic conditions (consult with your physician prior to use)
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Intoxicated 
  • Severely dehydrated 


How are the infrared saunas cleaned?

We clean the saunas after each use with natural eucalyptus and essential oil based products. They are also made with Canadian cedar wood which is naturally a antibacterial along with the infrared lights which is also a natural disinfectant. 


How often should you use the infrared sauna? 

We recommend at least one to two sessions per week however depending on your goals / case you can use it daily. Build it into your routine like you would your exercise. If you are using the infrared sauna for different health protocols you may need to use the sauna daily. Check out our memberships here if you want to use frequently. 


Do you have shower facilities? 

Yes. We have showers on site. However one of the sauna rooms does not have a shower fitted in the room however you are able to use the bathroom shower if you would like. Your body does continue to sweat and detoxify 30 minutes after an infrared sauna session so if you are happy to wait until you get home then please do!
